Today Huxley is 15 weeks old...holy cow how time flies!!!! I can't believe he is almost 4 months. So far he is doing great with hitting all his milestones...grabbing things, cooing, smiling, laughing, picking his head up and almost sitting up by himself. I am so proud :) We got some professional pictures done today at Sears, my mother- in-law and aunt-in -law got them done for us...they are dang cute!!! I will post some when we get the CD back. He did great, we then went out to our first meal out of the house with Huxley and he did good at first then got cranky, he was tired. He has been sleeping better which has been nice for his daddy and I. He still wakes up once or twice a night and is usually awake around 4am to have some daddy time and is awake for a couple hours, so we will have to work on that. Haha!!
We found out Jason has to have surgery on his knee this next Thursday, so that really sucks!!! We are not looking forward to it. I will be taking a couple days off work to take care of Jason and Huxley which is going to be rough!!! Oh well we will make it through it!
Ok so my questions for every one is; at what age did you start feeding your baby solids?? What did you start with?? and What have you found to be the best way to introduce new foods?? This is the next step in our lives with Huxley, we will probably be starting him on solids in about a month or so. He already seems interested in watching us eat and drink so I think the time is coming. I just want some advice for what worked for you.
I started feeding sabrik solids shortly before 6 months. 6 Months is what wic reccommends. Dairy and meats are supposidky supposed to be the last things they try. And don't give them peanut butter until about a year old because they will more then likely become allergic at an earlier period. I gave sabrik fruits first. Squished bananna. I gave him baby food. /i recommend home making baby food though. The processed stuff isnt so good. There has been a study and Dr.Oz had it on his T.V show that Nitrites cause Altheimers. So be careful.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog Kiley! I am sure I am going to have some of the same questions..now I can look to your blog for some answers and ideas too. Hope Huxley is doing good and I hope Jason is healing up from his surgery.
